Photography: how to
shadowless product shots: featuring the Photoflex Literoom

Step 1: Place the velvet sheet on top of the table. Arrange pearls to a visually pleasing manner. Assemble Photoflex Literoom and place the Literoom on top of the pearls. The bottomless nature of the Photoflex Literoom allows the photographer to shoot on virtually any surface.

Step 2: zip the light tent, closing it. Insert the camera lens into the small hole with the zipper. Zip this hole so that the lens fits snuggly. This ensures that excess light does not accidentally enter the Photoflex Literoom. The camera should be on a tripod. Lower the front camera leg so that the camera is leaning toward the table.

Step 3: Position the 1000 watt light to the right of the Photoflex Literoom. One light source will give the pearls soft highlights and form.

Step 4: compose the shot. The image in the left column was taken with the following: F=7.1 shutter=1/50

Step 5: photoshop--increase contrast and apply an unsharp mask and VOILA--a shadowless soft product shot. Convert the picture to black and white to show the contrast between the pearls and the background.
