Voda lounge
Restaurant Review

Voda is russian for the water of life. It truly does give some life after the couple of shots I had. This small intimate restaurant is known for its unique social dining experience. Its not too Hollywood but more laid back with a Santa Monica attitude. Lots of mixing and mingling goes on at Voda. In fact, we had conversations with the people on our left and right. This was truly a social dining experience.

Ambiance: Voda is small and cozy. Tranquil sounds of a zen-like water fountain bring relaxation, find your inner peace. This candlelit restaurant features long ball-bearing chandliers and mirrors to make the restaurant appear larger. Have a seat at one of the 3 leather booths. The night crowd is bustling and social, the perfect place to mix and mingle to make new friends.

Festive, cozy, intimate with the bar as the main attraction.

The Crowd: Movie producers, actors, entertainment executives-- the West-side hipsters. Everyone just wants to have a great time and meet people in the process. Rumor has it that lots of Hollywood deals go down in Voda. Beautiful people are here all the time. Don't worry about the snobs, they don't come here.

Food: The main attraction of Voda is its appetizers. Usually patrons order many appetizers, a couple of drinks, and maybe an entree or two. The baked brie is flaky, covered with cheese with a sweet apple crunch--highly recommended. The fire grill has a selection of beef, chicken and shrimp. Fry your kabobs over the fire-lit grill and dip them in one of three sauces: chives, peanut sauce and soy sauce.

Drinks: an international selection of vodkas, full bar and wine selection

Interesting Tidbits: Janet Jackson threw a soiree here for her album release party.
