cha cha cha
Restaurant Review

by David Lee

Journey to San Francisco's historic Haight and Ashbury district for an enchanting evening experience of   funky Caribbean cuisine.   Cha Cha Cha has been a local favorite for almost 20 years.   It is not uncommon to wait two to three hours for this popular nightspot.   With lines out to around the corner, the creation of a second Cha Cha Cha on Mission has not waned the insatiable demand for this establishment.   This no-reservation funky-fresh Cuban delight has become a staple of San Francisco nightlife.

Visit the bar for Cha Cha Cha's signature Sangria.   Executive Chef Bill Higgins said that this beloved beverage has kept customers happy for many years.   It is no wonder why a pitcher of Sangria lies on everyone's table.   Sangria is a popular traditional Spanish drink, typically a mix of brandy, wine and fresh fruits, served over ice.   This Cha Cha Cha specialty provides for great company and good conversation with friends.

Admire the vibrant colors of murals painted by local artists.   Decorated alters lined with shells, flowers, and exotic fruits stand high on the walls of Cha Cha Cha, homage to the oh so lively Cuban culture.   Strong beats of Reggae music pulsate throughout the restaurant fueling the social party-like atmosphere.
