With your own business, some months are good, others are bad.

life in the tech business
An interview with the CEO of an IT firm

Rock and Roll has the stigma of drugs, booze, and cheap floozies.   What stigmas do IT guys have?
Nerds, fat, ugly, porn, lots of rejection.   Of course, I try my best to look presentable with all my clients.   With the really big clients, I even pull out the shirt, tie, the works.

But doesn't that go against the grain?   Aren't internet nerds supposed to be scruffy?
Not all of us watch porn and drink Jolt cola.

I thought that was what the internet is for.   Pornography.
Well, there are other things besides that.

So IT guys don't have their own floozies?
Only if you count them by dots and pixels.

So what do you tell people who want to get into tech business?
Try to get a steady pool of reliable clients, which translates to a steady paycheck.

Or learn to play a guitar.
That works too.
